Music is a universal language. It doesn’t matter where your from, the language you speak, or if you can’t hear. You can feel it everywhere. In your soul, in your bones, in your heart.
I love music. I listen to every kind of music; from country to Spanish ballads and from 80’s rock to French pop. My music shelf is very diverse but my ultimate to-go is Korean music. Which brings me to the theme for this week: K-pop. At the end of the week, Friday, I will be attending Day6’s concert. I’m ecstatic to be able to see them perform live.
Most of you don’t know but Day6 is a Korean indie/pop band with five amazing guys; Sunjin, Young K, Jae, Wonpil, and Dowoon. These five guys write and arrange most of their music. So in honor of Day6 Gravity tour, I will be posting and open letter to each member starting with our leader Sunjin.
Dear Sunjin,
As our leader you’ve had a lot of responsibility on your shoulders, and are always looking after the other members. Your mascot is the bear. Like the bear you are warm, reliable, and caring. Your voice is strong and confident which makes it a pleasure to hear you sing. The reactions you make are always entertaining, and the way you get startled when you can’t answer Wonpil’s questions is adorable. And the fact that all of you guys are always forgetting the lyrics to your songs is amusing. I’m really excited to see you perform live. I know that this performance will be mesmerizing and we’ll make some unforgettable memories. I can’t wait to see you! Make sure to stay healthy and have lots of fun during the tour. You deserve all the recognition and applause. Mydays are sending all their love and support! #day6 #myday #kpop
